An Afternoon of Glitz and Glamour | BeautyBOUTIQUE & PHYTO Paris TIFF Suite 2016

2016 TIFF Suite with beautyBOUTIQUE and Phyto Paris

Each year, the air is filled with a bit more glitz and glamour as the Toronto International Film Festival rolls into town. You know what that means - big films, big stars, big hair, red carpets, red lipstick - the works! Last Thursday, Emily and I strolled down the trendy streets of King Street West, past the popular little bars and cafes with slinking queues full of beautiful people. We reached the beautiful Spoke Club, and were led up to a charming little showroom with some of our favourite brands. Various stations were set up for hair and makeup, as well as previews of new collections and holiday releases! I'm so excited to share our experience with you today - keep on reading for the deets...

The Ultimate Girl's Night In - Celebrating The Bachelorette Canada with Two Oceans Wine!

The Ultimate Girls Night In With The Bachelorette Canada and Two Oceans Wine!

As I'm sure you all know, The Bachelorette Canada premiered yesterday on W Network! If you follow me on snapchat, you'll have noticed that I had a really rough time last week... I really needed a pick me up, and unwinding with my roommates and having a ~girls night in~ was the perfect solution!

Luckily for us, Two Oceans Wine set us up with an awesome little kit to make sure we were comfortable and well looked after. Delicious wine? Cosy socks? Plush blanket? YES PLEASE. Two Oceans Wines joins Canada’s first-ever Bachelorette, Jasmine Lorimer, on W Network’s much anticipated The Bachelorette Canada as program sponsor this fall. I'm super excited to share two of the wines they sent, in case you're perusing the aisles of LCBO and need a little treat for your own girls night in!

Power To The Period | Women Helping Women with U By Kotex!

Power To The Period!

I used to volunteer at a food bank during high school (anyone remember those 40 hours of mandatory volunteer work?) We received tons of canned goods, milk, and other non-perishable items. I distinctly remember that female hygiene products were highly requested, yet we didn't have enough stock to keep up with demand. I think when most people think of food banks and shelter supply centres, they think of cans of beans and bags of milk, cookies, bags of pasta, maybe clothing and childrens toys... but not feminine products! Luckily, U By Kotex is working to change that with their #PeriodPower campaign! Keep reading to find out more...

Ride the #NoShaveWave with Silk'n Flash&Go | Demo & Review!

Review and demo on the Silk'n Flash&Go Express - painless and permanent hair removal.

Legs For Days, Darling

My legs are one of my favourite features - I'm quite tall and have very long legs, and I love showing them off! Especially during the summer time - shorts, skirts, dresses... love love love! What's on the menu? Legs What I hate though, is shaving. I'm not the biggest fan of body hair, and I've tried most types of hair removal. Waxes, razors, shaving creams... you name it, I've probably tried it. The trouble with these types of hair removal is that you'll be smooth for a few weeks, but the hair will eventually grow back. Worst of all is that it gets super messy! I've been curious about laser hair removal for a while now - the convenience of being smooth without painful cuts or ingrown hair bumps? Sign me up! But it can be quite expensive - I've seen laser treatments priced from $1000 and up, depending on the amount of hair and where on the body you'd like to zap!

When Silk'n reached out to me about their new Flash&Go Express Compact Hair Removal Device, I was immediately intrigued! I have always wanted to try out light-based hair removal (which I will explain a bit more later on!) I tested out the device for two weeks (two treatments), and today I'll be showing you a mini demo and review.

Cottage Getaway Week | Photo Diary, Where to Eat in Gravenhurst, & My Fave Summer Makeup!

A week at the cottage in Washago, Muskoka, Canada!

A Week Away...

...In the middle of nowhere aka Canadian cottage countryside aka Muskoka. Well, a bit more out of the way, in a tiny little town called Washago. Matt's family invited me to stay with them for a week at a little cottage they rented from a close friend. This was my second year staying with them, and I was looking forward to a week of relaxing and ~becoming one with nature.~ Unfortunately, things didn't quite go our way. Liquid nitrogen ice cream - a concept I had never heard about before going to The Ice Cream Lab in Little Tokyo, Los Angeles. With tons of customizable options, the Ice Cream Lab lets customers pick base flavours and topics to be added to a liquid nitrogen mixture, producing smooth, creamy ice cream! Youthful Skin with Estee Lauder | Fall 2016 New Launches + Review and Faves!

A look at Estee Lauder's Fall 2016 skincare and makeup collection!

Estee Lauder Fall 2016 Collection

Hello lovelies! Last week I was invited to the fall media preview for Estee Lauder and Aerin - so exciting! Estee Lauder is one of my all time favourite beauty brands, especially for their luxurious skincare collections. (I was pretty much raised on it because my mom is a huge fan of them and has most of their products, hehe.) The autumn 2016 Estee Lauder collection introduces a gorgeous new line of anti-aging and hydrating products, as well as a revoltionary new cushion stick foundation, and an alluring new addition to the Modern Muse fragrance line. Shin-sen-gumi Hakata Ramen & Wandering Around Little Tokyo, Los Angeles

A trip to Shin-sen-gumi Hakata Ramen in Little Tokyo for the best authentic Japanese Ramen that LA has to offer.

Shin-Sen-Gumi Hakata Ramen

Welcome to another edition of ~Sachie's California Food Diaries!~ Today, we're going to take a look at some delicious Japanese ramen from Shin-sen-gumi. With a few locations throughout LA, Shin-sen-gumi is the go-to, hotspot location for authentic Japanese Ramen! The little Tokyo location was absolutely packed during the Anime Expo weekend, so we decided to return the week after. You may remember my trip to the Fountain Valley location by Huntington Beach last year! That post actually came in handy because I remember I really liked my order, and I'm glad I wrote it down.

July 2016 Makeup Faves - What's In My Makeup Bag

July's Makeup Picks

This month, my makeup choice has been all about the basics - a big focus on the base and eyes, not so much about bronze, contour, or blush. I've been trying out some colour correction to lighten the amount of makeup on my face in the summer months, and I can really say that I'm enjoying it!

Smashbox Photo Matte Eye Palette & Mascara Review & Swatches

Enhance Your Eyes With Smashbox Cosmetics

I've heard many a blogger sing praises about Smashbox products, from their holy-grail primers to their coveted lip products. It's a brand that I've known about for ages, but haven't really experimented with. I've received sample sizes of their eye and face primers through Sephora and ispy Glam Bags, which I absolutely loved but eventually lost because the travel tubes were so tiny.

I think I may have just died and gone to heaven when the mail man knocked on my door and presented me with a of Smashbox goodies! Today I'll be reviewing some of their most recent eye launches, including the Photo Matte Eyes Eyeshadow Palette and a selection of their most popular mascaras!

Santa Monica Pier & Gen Korean BBQ | A Week in California

An evening stroll on the Santa Monica Pier...

Following our day trip to the Getty Museum (which you can read about here,) we decided to head on down to Santa Monica! The main purpose of our trip was to stop by Third Street Promenade to do a spot of shopping (hello Madewell, Cotton On, and most importantly... Uniqlo!). I follow a ton of LA vloggers on Youtube, so it was really funny for me when I stepped into the little shopping plaza at the end of the street and felt like I had been there before!

Round 1 Arcade & Japanese Purikura! | A Week in California

Round 1 Arcade

Round 1 is a large arcade, offering everything from rhythm games, dance games, bowling, karaoke, driving simulators, crane games...and more! It's always a highlight during my trips to California because it's so bright and exciting. It's especially interesting because it offers a selection of Japanese and Korean arcade machines, including...purikura!!

I had one mission in mind...to do some more purikura! Purikura are japanese photobooth machines, with extra eye-enlarging, leg-stretching, and skin-smoothing filters. The photos are taken against a green screen, which is substituted with various cute backgrounds! Once the photos have been taken, you head to the side of the machine and decorate/doodle on the photos! I did two sets of group photos with my friends - keep reading to see how they turned out...

Visiting The Getty Museum, Galleria, and Gardens | A Week in California

A Day at the Getty

For the past four years, I have made the trek out to the beautiful and sunny state of California! The main purpose of my trip is to attend Anime Expo, but I usually like to stretch out my stay and fit in a bit of sight seeing here and there.

On the second day of our trip, we headed to The Getty Museum. I remember seeing photos of the museum's fantastic architectural design on tumblr and longed to visit... now I can finally cross it off my bucket list! The gallery itself houses many iconic works and sculptures by the likes of Van Gogh and Cezanne, as well as impressive gardens and a breathtaking view of the city below.

Admission is free, and there is a small tram that transports visitors from the lower parking area to the upper galleria and museum.

TheFaceShop Mango Seed Skincare & BB Pact Review | ft. BBCosmetic

TheFaceShop Haul with BBcosmetic

I'm sure by now, you all know how much I absolutely loooove TheFaceShop! A few weeks back, I went on a big skincare shopping spree (read about it here) and picked up the Mango Seed discovery kit, which featured the toner, lotion, and facial butter. When popular online Korean cosmetic and skincare shop BBcosmetic reached out for a review, I leapt at the chance to try out some more TheFaceShop products!

Today I'll be reviewing two items from the Mango Seed skincare line, as well as the My Other Bag x TheFaceShop collaboration CC Moist Cushion Foundation*!

COVERGIRL x Katy Perry | Demi Matte Lipstick Collection (Review + Swatches!)

COVERGIRL x Katy Perry - Demi Matte Lipstick Collection

Back in March, I was invited to attended the Toronto launch of the Covergirl x Katy Perry lipstick collection! Matte lipsticks are all the rage these days, however many women find that mattes can be incredibly drying! Covergirl's demi-matte lipstick range claims to offer the coveted matte lip look whilst retaining moisture within a creamy and moisturizing formula.

A wonderful little box full of goodies arrived at my door containing the full set of Katy Perry's collaboration with the brand. This collection contains 11 demi-matte lipsticks and two mascaras. Keep reading to see swatches of the entire line, as well as my review of the colours and formula!

A Rather Large Face Shop Haul | The Smim, Face Masks, and Mango Seed Skincare

I'm obsessed with Korean skincare products.

Recently, my skin type has become quite dry and sensitive. My usual skincare regime hasnt really been doing much for me, so it was time for a shake up! Luckily, The Face Shop has storefronts in almost every major mall around me! Korean skincare has never been more accessible, and the price point isn't that different from major online Korean Skincare shops. I went into The Face Shop to pick up a few face masks, but walked out with a few extra bits. Keep reading to see what I picked up!

Basic Cosplay Staff Tutorial (ft. Sailor Pluto's Time Key)

If you've been following me on Snapchat, Twitter, and Instagram, you'll have seen me posting about my Sailor Pluto cosplay! Sailor Pluto is my third (and probably last) Sailor Scout cosplay, following Sailor Jupiter and Mars. I wanted to go out with a bang, featuring a large prop!

Today, I'll be teaching you how to make a cosplay staff. The materials are all pretty basic and accessible, and it doesn't cost a whole lot of money either! Keep reading to see how it's done...

#TakeYourChance with Chanel - Toronto Yorkdale Event!

#TakeYourChance with Chanel

Chanel is one of my all time favourite beauty and fragrance brands - it just exudes an aura of luxury and charm. Chanel No5 Eau Premiere is probably my signature scent! It's light and seductive, with notes of jasmine flowers and tonka beans. The fragrance itself is both timeless and recognizable, and I've always received compliments when wearing it. Chanel has a number of iconic perfumes, and I'm here to share one of their most popular fragrances.

Last week, I was lucky enough to attend the Chanel #TakeYourChance event held at the Hudson's Bay in Yorkdale Mall in celebration of the Chanel Chance fragrance. The line includes 4 different scents : Chance Original, Chance Eau Fraiche, Chance Eau Tendre and Chance Eau Vive. Each bottle was a different colour - yellow, green, pink, and beige.

It's your chance . . . TAKE IT! A decidedly young scent for those who dare to dream. A light, subtly sensual fragrance, filled with vitality and energy, evolves from one moment to the next, each wholly unique.

Summer Fun ft. Adore Me - Swimwear and Lingerie Haul!

Adore Me carries a wide selection of bras, lingerie, sleepwear, and swimwear. There are always new seasonal designs being added to the website which makes it harder and harder to stop myself from going on a treat yo' self shopping spree! Regular department sizes don't offer many cute options past 34D, and LaSenza doesn't seem to offer past 34DD in store. Victoria's Secret is a bit better, but the cost of a pretty bra and panty set can sometimes cost way more than intended!

Adore Me is a monthly subscription service in which you can order a new pair of cute undies/ swimwear/sleepwear for a discounted VIP price, which is often half the regular price. For those who prefer to pay as they go for one-off orders, Adore Me offers the option to buy the sets at their regular price.  You can read my previous reviews of my ordering experience here and here! I have four sets to share with you today!

Aaaaaaand luckily for you, Adore Me is having a summer snapchat giveaway! Keep reading to find out more...

A Look At Spring 2016 Releases | Estee Lauder & Aerin

A few little goodies...

...appeared at my doorstep the other day.

I've been transitioning my makeup to reflect the warmer weather - glowy skin, subtle bronze, and colourful lips are making their way into my makeup bag. I've also been switching up my fragrances (think light, floral, and airy - hello chloe!) I thought I would showcase these items because they totally capture spring/summer makeup trends!

Let's take a look at the spring/summer releases for Estee Lauder's Bronze Goddess collection, as well as a new Aerin fragrance!

GenBeauty Toronto 2016 | Event Recap + Creator Party

Generation Beauty Toronto 2016

Generation Beauty (or rather, GenBeauty), was held on May 14-15 at the Toronto Metro Convention Centre. You may recognize the venue, as it is the same hall that Fan Expo Canada is held!

GenBeauty was founded by Youtube Star and ipsy creator Michelle Phan. It's not so much a convention (like I originally though - more on that later), but a gathering of brands, beauty content creators, and their audiences. This was their first time holding a GenBeauty event in Toronto, let alone Canada. There have been other events held in New York and Los Angeles, and it was nice to see the online beauty community expand into Canada.

Ripley's Aquarium in Toronto

A continuation of my adventure downtown with Redbubble... (psst, there's a giveaway too! Check it out!)

The Ripley's Aquarium opened in 2013, right next to the CN Tower! It's a large aquarium that features a very streamlined path - you make your way through tanks featuring fishes from freshwater and saltwater lakes, to the shark tunnels, to tropical fish, the rays, the jellies, and a behind the scenes of the water filtration systems. It's a beautiful and relaxing environment, great for destressing (unless you're afraid of water, haha!)

It's a fantastic website where you can get beautiful artwork printed on almost everything, ranging from clothing, to phone cases, to duvet covers, and notebooks! Not only can you get unique pieces to wear, but you'll be supporting the artists you love at the same time. I was more than excited to join them for their spring campaign. Philips HF3520 Wake-Up Light | Sunrise Lamp Review

Not a Morning Person.

I am definitely, 100%, not a morning person. If you leave me in a dark room with a cozy blanket, I'd probably sleep for 14 hours straight. I'm the type of person who needs to set an alarm or else I'll wake up at 3PM in the afternoon. (To be fair, I'm a bit of a night owl.) I love my bed, I love sleeping, and I absolutely hate waking up to an alarm in the morning. But the reality is I can't sit in bed all day, I've got to get up at some point. With this, I introduce the sunrise lamp.

A sunrise lamp? Probably one of the more unique items I'll review on this blog, but one that's quite interesting none the less. I recently purchased the Philips HF3520 Wake-Up Light on Amazon, and quite a number of you have requested a review! So here I am today, sharing my thoughts, opinions, and critiques to help you make a decision, or figure out why so many bloggers are raving about sunrise lamps!

What's In My Makeup Bag; April

You know the saying...

April showers...windy days, frost, and spontaneous snow bring May flowers! The weather last month was absolutely horrible - every so often the sun came out and flirted with us before disappearing behind a screen of clouds and snow. April has come and gone, and it's time for me to share my monthly makeup essentials. I almost forgot about this post (as I usually post it at the beginning of the following month), but better late than never, right?

If my April makeup had a theme, it would likely be "Dependable Basics". Read on to find out more...

Uncle Tetsu's Angel Cafe; Toronto's First Maid Cafe!

Uncle Tetsu's Angel Cafe...

Tucked away in the heart of the Toronto is a huge Otaku secret. In their efforts to expand and introduce Toronto to Japanese food culture, the famous Uncle Tetsu's Cheesecake cafe has opened up a maid cafe.

Maid cafes are a prominent and reoccuring theme in Japanese anime and otaku culture, and can famously be found in areas of Tokyo such as Akihabara. Maid cafes combine elements of anime, and cosplay culture - it is often a small, brightly lit, and pastel coloured cafe. Customers are greeted with a hearty "Irasshaimase!" or welcome! Girls in maid uniforms (think more cute and reserved than kinky/sexy) serve desserts such as cakes, parfaits, and teas to visitors, as well as perform dances at set times.

Mle and I decided to visit Uncle Tetsu's Angel Cafe! Here's what we discovered...

Gyugyuya Curry & Tsujiri Matcha Cafe | Japanese Food in Toronto

Japanese Food in Toronto - Gyugyuya Curry and Tsujiri Matcha Cafe

There's nothing I love more than finding new places to eat in Toronto - I'm slowly working my way through an endless number of restaurant recommendations! Last week, Mle and I decided to wander downtown and check out some new restaurants and cafes. Coincidentally, both places were for Japanese style cuisine.

If you're a frequent reader of this blog (or instagram follower), you'll know that I absolutely love Japanese curry! I even posted a recipe a little while ago! Gyugyuya curry had been on my list for a while and I was seriously craving a hot bowl of the stuff! Mle wanted to try out Tsujiri Matcha Cafe as well, which was just down the street. Lunch and some matcha sundaes? Sign me up!

#BrowsOnFleek | Fave Brow Products

Ooh gurl, your brows are on fleeeeeek!

Or at least, I'd like to hope! My brow journey has been a rough one. My early teen years saw them plucked to a curved thin line - Myspace scene kid aesthetic anyone? (Those photos will never see the light of day.) I manged to grow them out a bit but the stress of university introduced a little trich tick, where I pulled out almost half of my eyebrow hairs in order to cope. Finally, I feel like I'm at a place where I'm relatively happy with my brows, both in thickness and in shape.  I've tried out a plethora of brow products these past few years and I'm here to share my secrets.

Sailor Pluto Cosplay Progress: Tiara, Boots, & Collar

Sailor Pluto Cosplay Progress - Part 1

Hello everyone! Today I'll be sharing some of the progress on my Sailor Pluto cosplay! If you've been following me on my other social media accounts like Instagram and Facebook, you'll have known that I've previously cosplayed Sailor Mars and Sailor Jupiter! I'm such a huge fan of the Sailor Moon series as it was quite dear to me growing up. Pluto will likely be my last Sailor Scout cosplay before I retire the bodysuit, and I've decided to post all of my progress.

I'm modifying my basic white Sailor Scout bodysuit, and the black skirt is a simple circle skirt pattern. The bow is borrowed from my Sailor Mars cosplay.

I have a few more updates to come, so stay tuned! You can check out my previous cosplay tutorials / progress reports under the Cosplay Progress tab.

This post will be covering the tiara, boots, and sailor collar.

Sephora Favorites - Bronze Bares All 2016 | Review + Swatches

Summer Glow... In A Box!

Sephora Favorites are some of my favourite makeup kits - they're a great way to try out a curated line of their most popular items...through a selection of deluxe sample and full sized products! I was scouring the Sephora website when I spotted their Sephora Favourites 2016 Bronze Bares-All set!

This 8 piece kit contains a range of products suited to give you that bronzey summer glow we're all looking for. (I'm super pale, and I'm hoping to tan a bit this summer...this kit is perfect!) I don't own any of the products in this kit, and I figured this kit would be the perfect opportunity. Eight items for $48... That works out to be about $6 per item!!! SIX DOLLARS!! For a mini Nars bronzer and a Becca Highlighter? Yes please!!

Let's take a closer look at my review and swatches of the Sephora Favourites 2016 Bronze Bares-All set! :D

She's a Natural | Neutral Polishes For Spring

Neutral Naturals

...Say that five times fast! I've seriously been loving light and bright shades for spring - a stark difference from the berry and oxblood shades that have been gracing my nails these past winter months. Neutral shades are clean and demure, which fits quite well with the young blossoms of spring! It's finally getting warmer too - yesterday was a shocking 25C, considering it was snowing about a week ago!

There are some lovely soft neutrals on the markets lately - Essie is a real winner in my book! (With an honourable mention to Sephora's Formula X, but we'll get into that in a second. Here are my top four faves for neutral nails this spring!

GLOW GIRL | My Favourite Products for a Glowy Base

Lit From Within

(...Minus to $$$, but thanks for the catchphrase Charlotte!) Glow bases seem to be all the rage these days - a viral trend that seems to be taking over our blogs, our instagram feeds, and of course, our makeup kits! I'll admit, I'm not that into the glow. I have quite dry skin and I feel like sometimes a sheen can emphasize that. In the summer, I'm pretty sure I sweat enough that I could pass off the perspiration as "that new hourglass setting powder!"

I'm not super super into matte - I guess I lean more towards...satin finishes? Is that the term? Dewy, I suppose. Here are my top pics for the days I do feel like being lit from within.

The Estee Edit Launch Party

#BeautyAttitudes

About two weeks ago, Sperrens and I were invited to the Toronto launch of The Estee Edit! As you may have heard, The Estee Edit is part of the Estee Lauder line, but with a fresher and more trendy approach! We walked down to The Distillery District (which I had surprisingly never been to - it's so rustic and cute!) The launch was actually held at a venue called Airship 37. The room we were in was chic and modern looking, decorated with white couches and blue lighting, totally on par with the brand's look!

There were makeup stations set up in the middle of the room to play with the products...

Sephora VIB Sale 2016; What I Picked Up!

It's that tiiiiiime again...

...Sephora spring sale! As per the usual spring event, VIBs had 15% off their purchases. Unfortunately for us Canadians, this pretty much just covers tax (13% in Ontario). Woo, no tax and 2% off! What's a steal! I'll take any type of discount I can get though - I used this opportunity to stock up on some items that are going to run out between now and the next sale.

I used ebates for the current 4% cash back - seriously, if you're not already doing this, get started! You use the site's affiliate links and get cash back through online purchases! It's great - check it out here! :D

Bite Beauty | Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Sweet Cream & Gingersnap

The Formula That's Been On Everyone's Lips

First of all - apologies for the silence this week! I caught the flu and was promptly out of service for a few days. I'm still recovering (the lingering coughs are the worst!!) but posting will go back on schedule! :)

Ever since the Amuse Bouche formula lauched as part of Bite's mega overhaul and reformulation of the Luminous Creme line, I've been lusting. Lusting haaaard. So many wonderful colours, such difficult decisions! I had $40 left on a gift card and decided the pick it up during the VIB sale - the 15% off ended up coming to about $28. Still a lot for a lipstick, but spoiler alert I'm in love!

Haulin' Five New Faves

Out Shopping... (again)

I've picked up a few products which I've really been loving lately - a little mix of skincare and makeup! The drug store has really been killin'  it lately! It makes me happy that more budget friendly brands are stepping up their skincare and makeup game, making ~beauty more accessible for all~.

It's a very skincare focused haul this time.. let's jump right in!

31.3.16

My Favourite Curry Recipe

Glico Japanese Curry

If you know me, you'll know that I frickin' love curry. Indian, Japanese, Thai... Curry is just an all around winner in my book! I often post videos when I make curry over on my snapchat (add me - lovelyghost). Accompanied with rice, it's a hearty and filling meal that's great for chilly days and works well for leftovers for the next few days. Compared to other curries I've tasted, this one is a bit more savory and not as spicy.

I've used a few different types of curry paste blocks, but I found that the ones from Glico are my favourite. I buy the 'hot' flavour which isn't spicy, and this is coming from someone who can't do spice at all! I often add pepper to the recipe. It also works great without meat - I often make vegetarian curry.

Keep in mind that the smell is pretty strong... your clothes will probably end up smelling like curry so make sure to pop open a window and turn on your fan!

This recipe makes about 4 servings, and takes about 40 minutes to prep/cook.

What's In My Makeup Bag; March

Light & Fresh

March was not a particularly adventurous makeup month. The month came in like a lion, and it looks like it'll be going out like one as well! The weather was crazy, along with my skin. March was all about soft neutral colours and a light base, along with a focus on skincare. Here are some items that really stood out to me!

March 2016 - Glossybox Review

Glossybox - March 2016

The March Glossybox had a pretty good selection - I loved 3/5 products that were included! Great brands too - Too Faced, Luxie Brushes, and Eyeko! I love it when boxes include a nice variety of items and sizes, ranging from full size to travel size!

MAC - Archie's Girls Blush in Cream Soda (2013 LE)

Betty, Betty, Betty...

In 2013, I remember passing by the MAC store in my local mall. At this point I was just getting into makeup, and the MAC store seemed much too intimidating for me. At least in Sephora, I could walk around and swatch till my heart's content without much fear of a makeup artist asking me if I needed help. The outside of the store was decorated with images promoting their Archie's Girls collection launch!

I remember seeing the displays and wanting to go inside, but at this point I was still learning makeup basics and $30+ for a blush seemed insane.... (Little did past me know that I'd happily drop that and probably more... Whoops!) I love Archie comics. I've been collecting issues ever since I was a preteen - I used to raid garage sales over the summer in search of Archies, Jugheads, and Betty & Veronicas... my hunts were usually quite successful! As a result, I have a box of comics stored away in storage somewhere.

Beachy & Bright Makeup ft. Tarte Rainforest Of The Sea

Rainforest Of The Sea

This is the first time I've ever done a feature for a certain makeup look that I've done. I really liked how my makeup turned out for my most recent video (an unboxing of Loot Crate Anime Box), and somehow remembered to take actual detail photos after filming the video!

My favourite style of makeup is neutral shimmery tones on the eyes, winged liner, long lashes, and coral cheeks / lips.

I've been loving Tarte Products recently, especially their new Rainforest Of The Sea Collection! It's just so beautiful. Tarte has quickly risen to the top of my list of favourite makeup brands.

Circle Lens Review: Puffy 3 Tone Violet & Super Pinky Blue

Puffy 3-Tone Circle Lenses

It goes without saying that I'm a fan of circle lenses - I feel like they're a significant part of the ~Sachie~ look. I placed an order with Honeycolor during the New Year as a few of my lenses were due to be tossed. There was also a buy-one-get-one promotion, so I got a pair of Super Pinky Blue lenses for free.

I've owned almost every colour in the line. Today I'll be reviewing the Puffy 3-Tone Violet lenses, but you can read my review of the green ones here!
